Why is Lord Brahma not Worshipped?

Lord Brahma, who is referred to as one of the supreme god and a part of the mighty trinity in the Hindu mythology is also referred to as the creator of this universe. Even after playing such a huge role, he is not worshipped among most of the Hindus and there is only one temple dedicated to him which is in Pushkar, Rajasthan. Why is that so? The story behind it is as follows.

The reason why Lord Brahma is not worshipped is that he is cursed by Lord Shiva. According to the Shiva Purana, once a competition was about to begin between Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu to determine their superiority and greatness, but if these two would have fought, then it would have lead to havoc and hence when they were about to start the competition, an infinite pillar of fire suddenly appeared between them and a celestial announcement or akashvani was heard that whosoever will find the end of the pillar will be declared as the winner. Lord Brahma decided to go towards the top of the pillar, whereas Lord Vishnu decided to go to the bottom of the pillar.

After sometime when they both failed to find the end of that fire pillar, they decided to meet at the initial point. Lord Vishnu told the truth that he was not able to find the end, but Lord Brahma lied that he found the end of the pillar. On hearing the lie from Lord Brahma, Lord Shiva appeared from that pillar and then he cursed Lord Brahma that he will never be worshipped in any house of the follower of the Sanatan Dharma. Besides this, Lord Shiva also gave a boon to Lord Vishnu that just like Lord Shiva, he will also be worshipped by all the followers of the Sanatan Dharma.

Thank you!

Well, it has a great story of the devotion of Lord Hanuman towards Lord Ram and it is as follows.  Once when Lord Hanuman visited Sita maa in the Ashoka Vatika he saw her with a red powder applied in the middle partition of her hair. Out of curiosity Lord Hanuman asked Sita maa what is this red powder and why does she apply it? Sita maa answered Lord Hanuman that it is sindhoor and when she applies it in the middle partition of her hair, it makes Lord Ram happy and blesses him with a long and prosperous life. On hearing this Lord Hanuman disappeared from the site and returned after a few moments covered from head to toe in red colour by sindhoor .
